Wendy’s Funky Flowers Saturday, April 18 Time: Noon – 4:00 p.m.
Fee: $40.00 Instructor: Wendy Vecchi
You’ll be among the first to make some funky flowers, using my new studio 490 stamps, which were just released at CHA.
Here are the juicy details…
We’ll make 6 flowers using stamps, inks, grungeboard and grungepaper. We’ll embellish them with products from Maya Road, Idea-ology and we’ll use some distress stickles and some Perfect Pearls too, for a little bling!
We’ll all make the same 6 flowers, but you have the option to make them the color of your choice, by using any distress ink color. So be thinking about the colors you’d like, if you have a special project/gift in mind. You can also customize them by using your choice of background stamps.
You’ll leave with 6 different flowers which will make the perfect embellishment for your cards, scrapbook pages, frames, gift bags or gift boxes. They also look great on tote bags or you can add a pin back and actually wear one. Add one to a jar candle for another great gift idea. There are tons of possibilities. These flowers are really fun & they were a huge hit at CHA.
Please Bring: craft sheet, heat tool, if you have one. Scissors (Tim’s works the best)
Distress inks and blending tools (peeled paint and any flower colors)
Adhesive – I like Art Glitter glue
Hemostats – if you have one, I’ll bring some or …those Home Depot plastic clamps work fine too.
Rangers Jet black archival ink.
Needle nose pliers
Cuttlebug Embossed Metal Book Sunday, April 19 Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
$25.00 Instructor: Linda Cain
Do you love to make little books? Need to know how to use your Bind-It-All? Ever wondered how to sandwich your Ten Seconds Studio metal through your Cuttlebug? Need a quick but elegant looking gift?
Then this is the class for you. Any or all of the above questions can be answered in Linda’s Metal Book class. You will learn to bind, emboss, and distress ink for a great project result. Make your own designs using the many molds available in class. Bring your machines and we will use them both. And yes, the Bind-It-All does cut easily through metal! Or, if you don’t have a Cuttlebug, you can use the molds and the hand embossing method. Either way, a fun and easy project.
Please bring: Black permanent marker, Archival Black Ink, small detail stamps, Distress Inks in Tea Dye, Concord, Broken China, Mustard, sanding block, scissors, paper glue and Crafter’s Pick (or equivalent), needle nose pliers (optional), Bind-It-All, Cuttlebug and plates and Spellbinder mats if you want to use the CB to emboss, Ten Seconds Studio tools if you have them
