April 2010

Customer Appreciation Day – April 11th
We have something special planned JUST FOR YOU at Scrapbook Friend'z.
We are so thankful for our customers and no more so than during these tough economic times.
April 11th is a day designed with you in mind. You’ll have an opportunity to visit and browse our numerous catalogs that was brought back from CHA, and give us suggestions for future purchases!
From 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., we’ll have treats and beverages along with demos all day long.
Demos Scheduled for April 11th
Amy Coon
Amy Coon from www.thepaperlife.com will be helping Scrapbook Friend’z celebrate our customers by doing product technique demonstrations with some of her top product picks from 1:00 – 4:00.
Come watch Amy demo all the products from Ranger's talented Claudine Hellmuth. Amy got all the instructions straight from Claudine herself. Included will be transfer techniques, paint mixing, stamping ideas, and much much more to help bring mixed media art into your scrapbooking and card making.
Also, Amy will sneak in a few tricks and tips on using the Making Memories Slice machine. She will be fresh from a CKC class given by Making Memories and will share with you what she learned there. So much is in store for the Slice in the coming months, she will let you in on what that is and help you get acquainted or re-acquainted with this handy dandy little machine.
Linda Broom
Join Linda from 12:30 – 1:30 and then again from 2:30 – 3:15 for adventures in Sticky Stuff. Sticky Stuff is an embossing powder that when heated becomes sticky before it dries giving you time to add glitter, flocking, micro beads, leafing, foil, and more.

Then from 1:30 – 2:30 and from 3:30 – 4:15, join Linda for a really cool new technique from Stampendous called Painting with Powders. This technique creates such a unique and beautiful image. Think of Van Gogh and that is Painting with Powders. We think you’ll be hooked.

There is no fee to participate. If you want to participate in the swap, please email Cathy Moews at robertmoews@msn.com or call the store by May 1.

Each month, a winning card design will be chosen that best depicts the theme. The winner will receive a prize donated by Scrapbook Friend’z.

Once we know how many will be participating, Cathy will let you know how many cards to make. The cards will be due at Scrapbook Friend’z by the 15th of the month.

If you’ve never done a swap, here’s how it works. Each month, those participating in the swap make a certain number of the same card and bring them to the store. When all the cards are received, you will get one of each person’s cards in return.
